Membership Options

The Skating Club of Utica-Whitestown offers several membership options for all ages, skill levels, schedules, and budgets. 

Beginners of all ages are introduced to skating through a Summer Session (Sunday July 1st to August 26th 9 weeks in total). Programs include
a weekly group lesson with a professional coach teaching skating fundamentals through US Figure Skating Association’s Learn to
Skate program along with an open skate time to practice. Session includes participation in a program highlighting skills learned.

Learn To Skate price is $180 plus the USFS Basic Skills Membership of $16. You need your own skates. Summer session starts Sunday
July 1, 2018 from 7-750 pm at the Whitestown Rec Center. The Session will end with a Summer exhibition on Sunday August 26th for
the kids to showcase skills learned.

Full Season Membership Options

Learn to Skate - for new skaters!

Basic Skills- for skaters who have progressed through Learn to Skate and are working on their badges. 

Low, Mid, High (no group lesson)-  this level is for skaters who have passed basic level and free style.

Freestyle $280.00 (For those that have passed basic 6 & above)
Thursday Free Skate or private lesson time 8:30-9:20 pm and Sunday 7:30-8:30pm (includes 20 min freestyle skills clinic and stroking per week) plus private lesson/free skate time

Low Mid High $280.00
Thursday 7:50-8:50pm (30 min specific skills & stroking clinic each week) plus free skate time
Sunday 7:50-8:50 pm (moves in the field 8:20 to 8:50)

Punch Card $190.00 10 hours throughout summer,
cannot be used on skills clinics or stroking class (payment plan not available); must skate during applicable level.

USFSA FEE will be good now through spring 2019 $60.00

50% due at sign-up. Payment #2 due by August 5, 2018


  • Intro to Skating and all Basic Skills Categories include one weekly group lesson.
  • Private lessons are to take place during skaters registered ice time.
  • Specific ice dates subject to ice available and subject to change.
  • All skating days and times limited to skating level and assigned times and days.
  • Coaches will advise what level each skater is at.
  • Mid-High does not include a Group Lesson.
  • Applications will be accepted on a space-available basis.
  • Drop ins limited to 3 for the entire skating season; drop in fee $15 per occurrence for SCUW members. Non SCUW member drop ins $20 per occurrence, limit 3. 
  • Drop ins only is skaters level is compatible with club skaters on ice. 
  • Refunds will be honored for documented medical reasons only.
  • Team & Sharper Image sign-up covers coaching costs. Requires a minimum 2 day membership; sign off by private coach.   Further requirements will be reviewed by the Synchro & Team Skills coaches. 
  • Prorating is only applicable when signing up for a session after it has begun. Payment is then required for the entire number of the remaining weeks. There is no pro-rating for individual classes that may be missed. Based upon space available basis only. ​ 
  • Must be registered prior to January 8th to be eligible for the ice show.
