The Skating Club of Utica-Whitestown has been part of our community for over 35 years. Come skate with the Skating Club of Utica – Whitestown.  All are welcome from beginner skaters to professional level skaters.

Erin Wake

Erin Wake has been a member of the Skating Club of Utica-Whitestown for the past 24 years. Erin is Gold in Moves in the Field and working on her Novice Freestyle she is also up to her Silver level tests in Ice Dance. She competed in synchronized skating for 7 years, and was an assistant with the learn-to-skate program for 8 years.

Erin is a graduate of Utica College with a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. She currently teaches Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus at Notre Dame JSHS. Outside of skating Erin enjoys running, coaching cross country, and reading. 

Missy Misiak

Missy Misiak has been skating for most of her life. She started skating at the age of 2 with her mother and joined the Clinton Figure Skating Club at the age of 5. Although Missy’s home club was Clinton she has skated at multiple different local clubs in her career. Missy has tested up to 4 in Figures, Gold in Moves in the Field and Intermediate in Freestyle, even though she preferred competing.

Missy has been coaching for 23 years and coaches a variety of different things. Such as Learn to Skate, Moves in the Field, and Freestyle. Missy also does choreography and showcase. Every year Missy takes a group of students to Empire State Games in Lake Placid and she puts together a group every year to perform during intermission at the Utica Comets game. Outside of figure skating Missy coaches power and edge control for hockey players.

Kim Dzialo

Kim has been coaching in CNY for 16 years.  She began coaching with the Center State FSC where she was the Program Coordinator for the Figure Skating Club and Learn to skate program.  Currently she coaches with the Skating Club of Utica/Whitestown, the Skating Club of New Hartford and the Camillus FSC.  Kim skated competitively as a child and attended many competitions in the Northeast including North Atlantic Regional and Empire State Games. Currently she is a member of the Camillus Cutting Edge Synchronized skating team and has Medaled at many local and Sectional competitions with her team.  She is also the 2010 Adult National Pewter Medalist in Free Skate and is a USFS Gold Medalist in Ice Dance.  Kim has coached skaters through the Senior Level Moves, Freeskate and Gold Dances.  You can contact Kim by email at or phone at 315-569-1845

Jenna Riesel

Jenna Riesel has been a member of the skating club of Utica Whitestown for 12 years. Jenna has passed Senior moves in the field. Jenna has passed her Juvenile freestyle and is skating at the pre-bronze level in ice dance. Jenna has been a junior coach with the learn to skate program for the last 5 years. This is her first year coaching independently.

Jenna is a senior at Herkimer High School with plans to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. Outside of skating she enjoys playing on her high school and travel softball teams.

Gabby St.Pierre

Gabby St. Pierre has been a member of the Skating Club of Utica- Whitestown for 9 years.  Gabby has passed her Juvenile Moves in the Field and is working on Intermediate Moves. Gabby is skating at the Pre-Bronze level in ice dance. Gabby has been a Junior Coach for the last 5 years. This is her first year as a full certified coach.

Gabby is a senior at Whitesboro High School with plans to become a High School History Teacher. Outside of the club, Gabby plays field hockey and lacrosse for her high school.
